About our Steinway Model B
Measuring 6’11” long, the Steinway B is an industry standard for recording and performance worldwide, hailed ‘the perfect piano’ by pianists and technicians alike. A wonderfully versatile and well balanced instrument, the Steinway Model B is equally suited to classical and contemporary repertoire, and large enough to fill a medium sized performance venue.
Our Steinway B was manufactured in Hamburg, Germany and was previously owned by renowned local piano dealer T. Andrews Pianos of Godalming. The piano has been a regular fixture on the local festival and concert circuit, meticulously maintained by proprietor and ex-Steinway technician Robert Donn. Mr Donn and his local concert piano hire service were highly regarded by concert goers, organisers and music societies alike, and we have acquired this fine instrument with the intention of continuing to support music making across Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex.
Can I hire the piano for my event?
We are delighted to hire our Steinway Model B grand piano for all types of events including:

Can I try the piano before I hire it?
Carefully stored between concerts at our Haslemere workshops and storage facility, the piano is expertly maintained by our concert technician to ensure the finest possible performance. Furthermore, the piano is always kept on its legs and in tune, and is thus always available for you to try if you so desire.
How is the piano delivered?
The piano is always carefully delivered by our piano transportation specialists, using all the appropriate equipment including a piano trolley, shoe and cover, and will be set up and positioned on the stage or performance area by the delivery crew. To keep the price as low as possible, our rental fee includes delivery and collection at ground floor addresses within a 30 mile radius of our Haslemere showroom, during business hours Monday-Friday.
Pricing structure
Single performance concert piano rental:
£1,449 + VAT
Includes:
- Ground floor delivery & collection - weekdays, during normal business hours.
- One tuning prior to the start of the event - post-delivery, during normal business hours.
- Comfortable, Italian made concert piano stool to match the piano and a padded cover
- Insurance
Additional costs:
