David McClean

David started learning the piano and violin at the age of four and had amassed 4 grade 8s and a diploma by his mid-teens. Studying music at the University of Surrey led to him leaving  his native Northern Ireland and settle in the Haslemere area, where a chance visit to the local music shop to buy violin strings led to a job application.

More than 20 years later David is the operations director of Chamberlain Music and responsible for many facets of the company, but as an accomplished pianist he is delighted to offer guidance to customers when the opportunity presents itself.

From driving his kids to and from rehearsals, to taking the stage at the Isle of Wight festival with his band, it is fair to say that David’s life revolves around anything and everything musical!
