With over 100 years of piano manufacturing expertise and piano assembly facilities in both Japan and Indonesia, Yamaha produces more instruments annually than almost any other piano manufacturer. Wood components including soundboard and keyboards are produced at their wood processing plant on Hokkaido, while the cast iron frames are manufactured at Yamaha Corporation's own iron foundry in Iwata. As the only piano manufacturer to make all of its own parts, Yamaha ensures uncompromising build quality by having complete control of the creation of each component in each instrument bearing the Yamaha name.
