Introducing Yamaha Disklavier ENSPIRE self-playing pianos
Taking self-playing reproducing pianos to a new level of quality, accuracy and ease of use, Yamaha introduced the revolutionary Disklavier player piano in 1987 with the upright U1 based MX100A. The compact model MX80 followed shortly after, along with the first Disklavier C3 grand piano in 1989, known as the ‘wagon grand’ owing to its enormous, wheeled control unit.
Yamaha Disklavier soon became the last word in automatic piano technology, with examples found in homes, institutions, restaurants, recording studios and on cruise ships all over the world.
Improvements in sensor technology, memory and connectivity over the years have led to today’s eighth generation Disklavier ENSPIRE, the worlds most advanced and most accurate self-playing piano system, available on all Yamaha grand piano models and on selected uprights....Read more
Introducing Yamaha Disklavier ENSPIRE self-playing pianos
Taking self-playing reproducing pianos to a new level of quality, accuracy and ease of use, Yamaha introduced the revolutionary Disklavier player piano in 1987 with the upright U1 based MX100A. The compact model MX80 followed shortly after, along with the first Disklavier C3 grand piano in 1989, known as the ‘wagon grand’ owing to its enormous, wheeled control unit.
Yamaha Disklavier soon became the last word in automatic piano technology, with examples found in homes, institutions, restaurants, recording studios and on cruise ships all over the world.
Improvements in sensor technology, memory and connectivity over the years have led to today’s eighth generation Disklavier ENSPIRE, the worlds most advanced and most accurate self-playing piano system, available on all Yamaha grand piano models and on selected uprights.
Gone is the unwieldy control unit and instead the ENSPIRE is operated wirelessly via an intuitive iOS/Android app. With built-in speakers on each grand piano model, the piano can play itself along with 600 built-in audio and MIDI backing tracks, while a built in ‘Silent Piano’ feature enables the pianist to practice privately with headphones or at low volume through the speaker system. Utilising the Silent piano sound engine, ENSPIRE also integrates with Yamaha's Music Cast audio system to stream piano music wirelessly to any room.
Disklavier ENSPIRE is the only self-playing piano system that controls not only the speed and timing of the hammers hitting the strings, but also the release of each key. Along with Yamaha’s proprietary AccuPlay DSP technology, which intelligently verifies and adjusts playback in real time to ensure optimum accuracy, this enables ENSPIRE to deliver the most organic, natural performance possible, conveying every nuance of the original artists performance.
There are two versions of the Disklavier ENSPIRE system available. All upright models and grands up to and including the 5’8” long C2X grand piano are fitted with Disklavier ENSPIRE ST, while C3X Disklavier and above are fitted with ENSPIRE PRO.
Sharpening up the performance, ENSPIRE PRO benefits from the very highest possible resolution record and playback facility, capable of capturing and reproducing up to 1024 dynamic levels and 256 levels of pedal positioning, making it the perfect choice for stage and studio use.
