Introducing the Casio Celviano AP-470 digital piano

The Casio Celviano AP-470 is a stylish digital piano with a multitude of great features that are sure to boost your playing and provide you with the best sound possible. To provide you the best potential for your musical expression, this piano incorporates two new Grand Piano tones. By using Casio's advanced AiR sound technology, the AP-470 captures the wide dynamic range and tonal characteristics of both European and American styles of piano design, so you find the perfect piano sound for your performance no matter your preferred style of music.

The grand piano 1 has a rich, resonant sound typical of European grands, and it is capable of expressing a multitude of tonal contrasts that suit the classical tradition. The grand piano 2 is the ideal piano for jazz and popular music, with a bright, clear sound and contemporary tone colour.

New hall simulator

Using real acoustic measurements, the Hall Simulator recreates the ambience and character of four famous concert halls so you can experience the thrill of listening to your performance in any of these unique and memorable acoustics while you're playing your favourite music.

Headphone mode

The AP-470 creates a more natural sound spread when using headphones, allowing for realistic silent practice that doesn't interrupt the lives of those around you, perfect for pianists living with others and late night practice.

Concert play

Real orchestral recordings of favourite pieces introduce the symphony orchestra whilst developing sight-reading and ensemble skills.

Intelligent acoustic resonator

Casio's AiR sound source provides incredible clarity and authentic tone so your performance will be as expressive and natural as possible. With the AP-40, string and damper resonance can also be reproduces. Usually found only in acoustic instruments, string resonance is calculated by the AP-470 as you play, making extended performance techniques that use string harmonics possible.

Weighted tri-sensor keys

The Tri-Sensor II Scaled Hammer Action Keyboard has stylish ebony and ivory textured keys for an incredibly realistic feel. This piano also has the full complement of three foot pedals as found on a traditional grand piano: una corda, sostenuto and damper (with half-pedalling functionality).
