Introducing the Bechstein Model M grand piano

Manufactured in c.1927, our beautiful rosewood Bechstein Model M grand piano has just been the subject of a complete rebuild and is in as new condition throughout. At 5'10 in length it is the same size as the Steinway Model O and offers wonderful resonance and clarity.

Finished in a beautiful rosewood veneer, polyester lacquered for long lasting durability and shine, the piano has the stunning sunburst carved music desk and brass fittings, making it a stunning piece of period furniture too.

During restoration the action has been restored with new Abel hammers and the original ivory keyboard remains too. A brand new pin-block guarantees excellent tuning stability, while the original soundboard has been refinished.

Our Bechstein Model M grand piano is prepared and on display, ready for selection in our Haslemere showroom alongside a selection of other premium European and Japanese grand pianos.

The prettiest grand pianos ever made

Widely regarded as the among the prettiest grand pianos ever designed, Bechstein grands of this era are beautifully proportioned , with elegant clean lines complimented by an ornate, carved sunburst music desk, straight legs and rosewood veneer finish. The rosewood veneer has wonderful colouration and figuring, and has been lacquered in a high gloss polyester for a lustrous shine and durable finish.

Beautifully restored by Europe's premier restoration house

Having been sourced and its restoration commissioned by Chamberlain Pianos, our Bechstein Model M has been beautifully and sympathetically restored by Europe's premier piano restoration house. We try to retain as much of the original piano as possible, so the casework and cast iron frame remains, along with the original soundboard which has been repaired as necessary and refinished, with a replica of the original transfer applied. A brand new pin block ensures perfect tuning stability for generations to come, while the top action has been replaced with all new components produced by German manufacturer Abel.
