Introducing the Boston GP178 II grand piano c.2006
Our Boston GP178 grand piano comes to us in spectacular condition, presenting an unmissable opportunity to purchase a recent Steinway Boston grand piano at a great price.
Measuring 178cm long, the same size as the Steinway Model O and Kawai GX2 grands, the Boston range is designed by Steinway & Sons in the USA but assembled by Kawai in Japan. This enables Steinway to produce an attractively priced, compelling alternative to a new Yamaha C2X and Kawai GX-2, while also being a stepping stone towards their own Model O.
Combining Japanese precision engineering with Steinway heritage and expertise, the Boston GP156 incorporates many unique Steinway patents, along with refined tone-enhancing design features including a wide-tail frame, duplex scaling, a rock maple inner rim and a tight-grained, solid sitka spruce soundboard.
In a beautiful high gloss mahogany veneer with brass fittings the piano is an elegant addition to any space, with no sun bleaching or damage to the polyester lacquer finish. Remarkably refined, resonant and powerful for an instrument of its size, the GP178 is a great choice for the discerning home pianist, comprehensively serviced by our technical team and on display, ready for selection.
