Introducing the Yamaha AvantGrand N1X hybrid piano c.2020
Still a current model in the Yamaha AvantGrand lineup, the N1X hybrid grand piano is a completely digital piano with no strings to tune, yet features a real grand piano action. This example of the popular N1X was purchased new from Chamberlain Pianos in June 2020 and remains in superb cosmetic and technical condition, recently coming back to us in part exchange.
With piano samples taken from Yamaha's own CFX concert grand along with the Bosendorfer Imperial, the sound is remarkably rich and dynamic for a digital instrument, while Virtual Resonance Modelling adds wonderful depth to the tone, faithfully recreating the unique characteristics of acoustic piano resonance.
A pallet of 13 other instrument sounds includes electric pianos, organs and harpsichord, making a total of 15 to choose from. A powerful, specially designed speaker system adds an extra dimension to the sound, accurately reproducing the sound field created by an acoustic grand piano. Specially positioned speakers give the impression that the sound is coming from a grand piano soundboard, while binaural sampling delivers the same quality sound via headphones.
