Introducing the Yamaha C3E grand piano c.1989
The Yamaha C3 has long been a preferred choice of musicians, performers and teachers, as a wonderfully versatile balance of size and quality of performance. Arguably the most famous and certainly the most popular 6'0" (185cm) long grand piano, the C3 has been produced since the 1970s and can be found on stages and in schools, homes, churches and studios worldwide.
This piano is an 1989 example of the C3E, the first generation of Yamaha C3 grand piano to come fitted with a sostenuto pedal as standard, along with synthetic ivory (Ivorite) keytops, finished in an attractive high gloss mahogany veneer with brass fittings.
An excellent value 6'0" grand piano, the piano was produced at the main Yamaha production facility in Japan and benefits from a solid spruce soundboard and duplex scaling, as found in a modern C Series grand piano. The piano has been comprehensively serviced with brand new Yamaha ivorite key surfaces fitted, action regulation and voicing, along with cabinet repairs and polishing.
Ideal for a medium to large space, the piano produces a superior bass tone to the similarly priced new GB1K and is on display, ready for selection alongside other second hand and new Yamaha grand pianos.
