Introducing the Yamaha U1 SH Silent upright piano c.2013
Yamaha's U1 upright piano has been produced since the early 1950's and is recognised as one of the worlds most popular upright pianos. Long a preferred choice of practice instrument for teachers, home pianists and professionals, the U1 delivers outstanding musical performance and is very much a yard stick against which other uprights are measured. The current version has been produced since the early 2000's and is more refined than ever before, with a useful extended length music desk and elegant soft-closing fallboard to prevent trapped fingers.
This example of the U1 was manufactured in 2013 and is factory fitted with the Yamaha SH Silent system for private practice with headphones. This was the first model generation to feature Binaural Sampling from the flagship Yamaha CFX concert grand for a truly immersive piano playing experience, with a sleek control panel and a range of useful features including an onboard record facility, USB audio recorder, full MIDI connectivity and a wide pallet of instrument sounds including 480 XG voices for MIDI file playback.
This is a perfect choice of piano for the home, refined enough to be enjoyed acoustically by even the most advanced pianist, with the ability to be played quietly at the most inconvenient times, and also with the connectivity to be a useful tool for studying music at school, college or university. It is in superb condition throughout with just one private owner from new, and is freshly serviced, on display and ready for fast delivery.
