Wittner are well known for the production of metronomes and their traditional style wound models are tremendously popular the world over.
Crafted from solid wood with a precision wound mechanism inside, the front triangle pops off to reveal the pendulum where, via a sliding dial, you can select the desired speed of the metronome. On the side of the metronome is an adjustment mechanism for the bell, which can be set according to the time signature of the piece in order to indicate the first beat of the bar.
The click and bell have a satisfying, mechanical sound which is much more pleasing than the digital beep of cheaper electronic metronomes.
This model has a variety of speeds - from 40bpm to 208bpm.
Available in a selection of finishes to match your piano, and a brilliant addition to any music room, practice studio or study.
In the year 1895 an enterprising chap called Gustav Wittner founded a precision mechanical factory specifically for the for the production of metronomes. His son, Rudolf Wittner then gradually expanded the business which now occupies a well equipped and state of the art factory in West Germany.
